A young girl from the country of Florin loses her true love when his ship is attacked by pirates.  Not just any pirate, but the Dread Pirate Roberts, who never leaves survivors.  But this is no ordinary young girl.  This is the most beautiful girl in the world, and the crown prince of Florin wants her for his bride.  On the day of the engagement announcement, three villains kidnap her with the intent to start a war.  How will it all end?  Can this possibly have a happy ending?  This is the story of The Princess Bride.

I saw this movie for the first time on my birthday.  It was one of the first live action movies I had ever rented, along with "Flight of the Navigator."  I read the book for the first time in my 8th grade English class.

If you haven't seen it, you haven't lived.  I mean it.  If you've seen the movie, but you haven't read the book, you're missing out.  There's so much more development in the book, it adds so much to the story.
